Apple buys 100 acres of land for third North Carolina solar farm

Apple on Monday reached a deal with the city council of Claremont, N.C. to annex 100 acres of land for a new 17.5 megawatt solar farm, the construction of which is expected to cost some $55 million.

I'm really pumped about solar tech farms. They look much more pleasant than the War of the Worlds style Wind blades. What will Apple do with all the solar energy?

nice theory. apple wouldn't get enough energy to equal an AA battery in England we have grey cloudy weather. oh and lots of wind.
