The new 2011 Apple iPhone will most probably be launched during the third quarter of the year 2011 but there are plenty of rumors everywhere even before its launch. Followers are expecting something new and different from the annual product line-up refresh offered by Apple. Who 's to say this year, two models of handsets might come out. Prototypes of mini iPhones have been seen.

Two New Handsets?

It is expected that the new mini iPhone will have lower specifications and features:

• The iPhone Nano is likely to surprise you with its stunning features. It is expected to be smaller than all previous iPhone models. Released in phases with a wider variety of colours (yellow, green, pink, silver and white). A cheaper price tag will ensure next gen iPhones can fend off low cost Android handsets.

There is a lot of speculation on the launch of new iPhone full size handset, whether it will be called an iPhone 4G, 4S, 4GS or simply be named officially as iPhone 5.

We have already seen the huge amount of interest from the Nintendo 3DS, which features a 3D camera and gaming through lenticular and stereoscopic tech. 3D is achievable on iPhones. Could this be the Killer App on the new iPhone?

• iPhone 4S – longer battery life, more memory and a faster CPU are the norm with tech updates. Apple has been whispered to have ordered large quantities of a new dual-core A5 CPU. The new iPhone is likely to come with a new operating system version iOS 5.0. With stronger security features: Face recognition security, built-in chip and pin technology for banking via an e-wallet icon, new calling features and possibly a remote kill switch, incase it 's lost of stolen the owner can 'brick it' remotely once and for all. The camera of this nextgen smart phone is expected to be of 8MP or higher which will ensure better photography. Video chat on 3G and 4G networks will become a reality soon with this fifth generation smart phone. Currently, it is possible only on WiFi. This new generation phone will allow you to live chat on 3G and 4G networks. Pictures of a full metal case have been rumored to improve antenna reception and become less prone to scuffing.

Get set for all the fun and excitement. The market is abuzz with lots of speculation and rumors associated with the launch of Apple iPhone 5. One thing is sure, you can expect a wonder mobile; as Apple is always known for its innovation.
