With the release of the iPhone 5, T Mobile has come up with a whole range of new contracts and deals that will allow you to get the iPhone 5 along with excellent data and call plans.

It is a good idea to take out a longer contract and pay as little as possible upfront. A pay and go iPhone 5 will cost about £200 more over a two-year ownership. Take a look back through your old mobile bills to work out how many minutes or texts you need. Historically, data usage increases year on year. So be wise and budget for more cellular data, i.e. Facebook, Apps and more YouTube streaming. If you have not heard, the iPhone 5 operates on 3G and 4G mobile internet. When EE roll out 4G, T-Mobile and Orange will be the only customers with super-fast mobile broadband. Click here for more LTE details.

There are seemingly endless combinations of deals; to make things easy this page has a sample to benchmark where t-mobile have competitive prices.

T-Mobile have the cheapest iPhone 5 (sort of). Their starter deal gives you 250 texts, 50 minutes talktime, & 750MB cellular data £504, + £339 upfront for the handset = £843. So, although they have the lowest total price, they have very expensive upfront costs to begin. A better option might be to buy the iP4S.

Top tip: Take full advantage of 0% free credit APR. Paying in instalments gives you a much better contract than say, buying one off their budget plans which have 100 minutes. Look at the scale. Notice that the best deals work out better if you pay less upfront, giving you more minutes, and a package called "unlimited text booster".

iPhone 5 Budget Planner

  1. 50 mins, 250 text, 750MB, an upfront cost £149 + 21 * 24, total = £653
  2. 100 mins, unlimited text, 750MB, an upfront cost £99 + 26 * 24, total = £723 (Better)
  3. The Full Monty Plan has 2000 minutes, unlimited texts, unlimited internet, an upfront cost of £109, total = £973 (Best)

Why buy a T Mobile iPhone? One of the main costs of owning an iPhone will be the mobile bill for your mobile usage. Surfing the net on the iPhone is fabulous until you overstep your plan's data allowance. Almost all the other network companies are going to charge you substantially for your extra usage. However, T Mobile does not charge you for any additional usage. (See their fair usage policy for specifics.)

With T Mobile, you can adjust and tweak your plan with any additional flexible boosters. These flexible boosters give you any service that you use more frequently. Unlimited texts, unlimited landline usage, are some of the flexible boosters and they do not cost you anything extra.

T Mobile network shares the UK's widest signal coverage's. T-Mobile and Orange recently enabled their networks to let customers roam both networks at no extra cost. This means that you get seamless coverage no matter wherever you are. T Mobile is also the UK's biggest mobile phone operator.

iP5 uses a new nano SIM card. T-Mobile customers who have upgraded will find they do ship the adapter to allow you to use your old micro sim on a new iPhone 5 pay as you go phone. T-Mobile has very useful "Call Me Back" service for pay as you go users, so you can let people know when you're out of credit.
