Obviously, any arrangement by Vodafone to sell Apple's blockbuster iPhone 5 was sure to generate a great deal of enthusiasm and expectation. Though a massive price war was expected, it was not be. Yet a prospective buyer needs to do a comparison of Vodafone iPhone prices for a proper evaluation.

Historically, data usage increases year on year. So be wise and budget for more Facebook usage and more YouTube streaming. The tariffs still provide an edge to Vodafone looking at data allowances. For example, in the UK Vodafone is offering £42 per month tariff, which is dearer than that of the competitors, although to get an iPhone 5 they have a lower upfront cost. You will need to spend at least £49 on a 24-month tariff. On like for like comparisons, on the WiFi and Mobile data, Vodafone has an edge offering 2GB of browsing compared to the competitor's 1GB. Here the Apple brand name is phenomenal though. No network in the UK including Vodafone has been able to place its emblem on the phone. Regarding its apps, Vodafone by having three is a clear winner over its competitors.

The test was done at four different locations in the UK to compare the performance of Vodafone with its competitors. At each location, a free application speed test was done to test download and upload speeds. Here Vodafone was far ahead of its competitors. As far as call quality is considered, there was really nothing to choose between Vodafone and those of the competitors.
